Calling all Parliamentarians!

The Opening Ceremony for the twenty-second annual Model Parliament will be held on Sunday, January 11 at the Senate of Canada Building on 2 Rideau Street at 1:00pm.

Be officially sworn in as an MP, mingle with fellow Parliamentarians, listen to the Speech from the Throne and the Opposition Leaders’ responses.

Please arrive at least half an hour before to allow for security screening.

Bring a piece of government issued identification and your name tag!

Join us on Thursday, January 15 and Friday, January 16 in the House of Commons chamber in West Block! The agenda runs from 8am to 5pm.

You'll have the opportunity to simulate the real parliamentary procedure, debate and vote on bills, listen to guest speakers, and get hands-on experience with the inner workings of government.

Participants must enter through the Visitor Welcome Centre at 111 Wellington Street. Please arrive at least half an hour before to allow for security screening.

The Day 1 After Party lets you cut back and relax after a long day of work as a Member of Parliament.

The University of Ottawa Model Parliament is coming to a close, but not before one final celebration!

The Closing Ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 2:00 PM in the Senate of Canada.

Listen to speeches from veteran participants, discover which participants have won awards, and end off MPSP 2025 in the company of the friends and allies you have made along the way.
