Meet the University of Toronto’s Committee

This year, the MPSP is proud to announce its collaboration with the University of Toronto Scarborough! About 50 representatives from the Greater Toronto Area will participate in this year’s MPSP.

Khalil-Najir Miles

Khalil-Najir Miles (he/him) leads the University of Toronto committee as Lieutenant Governor General of Canada for MPSP 2024. He is a second year student in Political Science. His favourite movie is Blood Diamond.

Alizeh Sohail

Director of events

Alizeh Sohail (she/her) is the University of Toronto’s Director of Events for this year’s Model Parliament! She is starting her fourth year in the Honours in Political Science and International Relations Program. Her favourite movie is Interstellar.

Malika Derrell

Director of finance

Malika Derrell (she/her) is the University of Toronto’s Director of Finance for MPSP 2024! She is currently in her second year of the Joint Honours in Political Science and Public Policy Program, and her favourite movie is The Devil’s Advocate.

Marlon Mortilla

Marlon Mortilla (he/him) is the University of Toronto’s Director of Media. He is a second year student in the Joint Honours in Public Policy and City Studies Program with a minor in Bioethics. His favourite movie is Star Wars Ep. III: Revenge of The Sith.

Carolyn Gao

director of internal affairs

Carolyn Gao (she/her) is in her second year of the Joint Honours in Public Policy and Environmental Studies Program. She is the University of Toronto’s Director of Internal Affairs this year, and her movie is About Time.
